Biography

 

Jeff grew up in upstate New York.  After graduating from high school he spent several years traveling around the United States, working in a baseball factory, an art museum, as a taxi driver and learning the construction trade.  He worked in Denver on commercial and residential buildings and then in the Seattle area for several years before moving back to Ithaca, New York to run his own subcontracting business and start a family.  When he hurt his back doing construction, he decided to finish his education earning an undergraduate degree in environmental engineering technology at Cornell University and a law degree at Syracuse University College of Law.  When he finished law school, he moved to Seattle and has lived there ever since.

Jeff has a B.S. degree from Cornell University (1982) and a J.D. (magna cum laude) from Syracuse University College of Law.

Interests

 

Reading, both fiction and nonfiction; woodworking and house remodeling; and spending time with his wife, their three grown children and four growing grandchildren.
